Tomb Raider Legend release postponed until 2006
|
Eidos today comes with news that will disappoint Tomb Raider fans worldwide.
The release of the Tomb Raider Legend game has been postponed until 2006.
The delay was confirmed to UK trade magazine MCV by a SCi Entertainment Group
spokesperson in order to "maximise the hit potential".
The Tomb Raider franchise was moved from Core Design after the last game, Angel of Darkness, and was handed over to Crystal Dynamics.
The delay may be a wise move, giving the Crystal Dynamics development team several extra months in before the release
A possible releasedate when looking at several online gameshops is March 2006. But this is not confirmed.

Eidos spokesperson could offer only a very general comment: "[Eidos & SCi] management continues to review both internal and competitive release calendars on a global level to determine optimal release dates for all of our products. We will have more information regarding this matter in the near future."
