Walkthrough - Tomb Raider: The Golden Mask
ALASKA - The Furnace of the God
Level 3.. Sliding down to the deep....
Start Cave
When you begin this level
you'll be sliding down. Take a standing jump forward and land on a flat
piece of ground where you can find Flares. Jump again
forward and start sliding down again. Down below you'll find a skeleton
with Flares and a skeleton with Shotgunsammo.
Light up a flare and start going into the dark passage... here you'll find
a Small Medipack. Look for the rat behind you !!
Now start running over the collapsible tiles and head left... (don't go
right or strait ahead.. a moving wall will come from here... ) A number of
rats 3x will come to you... but you'll need all the focus on a moveble
Metal Cage on the left in the wall. Push it 2x and start shooting those
rats.. don't go outside until the wall has passed you. Now go back
into the hallway and find your prices. Automaticpistol-Clips
2x. Return to the passage you just opend and head forward.
Hall of Tornarsuk
You'll enter a large hall. A wolve is sleeping behind pillar#1 in front off you.
A second wolve is sleeping on the right side of the place where a skeleton
is. Here you'll find a Small Medipack. Look in front off
you and see "Mask of Tornarsuk" it is protected by 3 statues.
When you'll pick it up they come to live. Kill them quickly. When ready
head for the opend door on the left side of the hall. (look out a 3th
wolves is in this part of the hall) Light up a flare and head in the next
room. Jump into the water. Swim downward and head left. Look out for the
Yellow Fish. At the end of this passage you'll find Harpoon's.
Turn around and swim to the Rat Room.
Rat Room
In this room there are rat's everywhere ! So get out off the water and start shooting
with those guns. You can shoot up to 10 or more rats... Pickup the Shotgunammo
2x and the Small Medipack. Pull the Moveble Metal Cage
and find Flares, Large Medikit and Shotgunsammo
3x. Now pull the other Moveble Metal Cage aside and enter a new
passage on the end turn around and grab the ladder. Climb up and push the
moveble block 2x and enter a new room. Now push the block aside and here
you'll find Secret# 1 Gold Coins.
Go left or right until you find a Skeleton. pickup the Flares
and jump aside when a rolling boulder comes down. Follow the passage and
jump over the spiked pits and go back into the Hall of Tornarsuk on the
High Legdes. Pull the switch and the big doors at the end off the hall
will open. Go and do a running jump to the next ledge and again. Here
you'll find M16-ammo. Do a running jump back and do a
safety drop from the ledge to the floor below. Run down the hall to the
double doors with a switch nearby for the next door.
Golden River
Flip the switch and
the doors will open... look out for 3 goons with uzi's (best way to kill
them is to lure them into the big hall where you came from.). Your reward
will be Uzi-ammo 2x and a Small Medipack.
Go and take a look around in the new hallway.. At the far end of this hall
there is a window where you can look towards the river here you'll find a
Large Medipack. Go backwards until you see a block on the right side of
the hall climb up to enter the opening in the wall above and enter the
river area of gold... (don't fall in to the gold water.. you'll burn.) Do
a running jump to cross and a standing jump to the right to come behind
the golden waterfall.. Climb up 2x and follow the path across a bridge.
Half way the bridge on the right side you can go downwards you'll fall on
a block. Go right and find some Grenades. Now jump back
on the block and take a running jump towards the next platform. Again take
a running jump and then take a standing jump to your left. Follow the path
upwards and cross the bridge.At the end of the bridgepath you can go right
but first you'll have to make a standing jump left up a flat area. Then go
left to find Flares and a little bit upstream you find a Small
Medikit. Now go backward and go left where you did make a
standing jump. Climb up and make a running jump and grab the ledge. Again
a running jump and grab the ledge. Go around the corner and jump towards
the platfrom on your left. Explore it and find Shotgun-ammo
and Flares. Go back to the other platform and take a jump
towards the rock in the middle of the golden river. Take your M16-ammo.
Kill the bird and do a running jump towards the next platform on your
right. A second bird will come to you. Kill it and go forward follow the
path (look out for the Spiked pit) Look towards the right and see a
platform in the middle of the golden river. Take a running
jump towards it. Kill the 2 birds and a next jump to land on the platform
behind it. Here you find M16-ammo. Jump backwards and
take a running jump forwards into the golden river next to the big block.
You will land here on a platform. Go downward and find
Secret#2 The Gold Bars.
Climb up and go backwards to the
path.(don't slide.. running jumps only!) On the path look upwards
and see a block you can climb up.. Here you'll find Shotgun-ammo.(you
can see it from the place you pickup secret 2...) Look out for a bird...
Now follow the path until you reach a room with a spinning blade. Pickup Automaticpistol-Clips
on the path... Cross the room with the spinning blade and enter a
new area..ou'll see a new Golden River... the 2nd.. On your left you won't
get far.. so go right and do a couple of jumps from platform to platform.
Polar Bear Country.
From the last plaform in the gold river you can see water... Do a running jump
and dive into it... Look out for a Yellow Fish. Swim through the tunnel
and up to the surface and climb out. Here you'll meet an PolarBear....
Next you can pickup a Large Medipack. Into the next room
take a standing jump and land on the small rock in the middle of the
river. Pickup some Harpoons. Make a running jump towards
the land.. Look out for a second Polarbear. Here you find some Uzi-ammo
2x.(room with many ice windows) Now enter the water, swim forward and let
the current drag you downstream. Swim into the next room and pickup some M16-ammo
2x and then swim back and climb out through the hole in the roof. Near the
ice window you find Flares and a Small Medipack.
With a running jump you can grab the climbing ladder. After going sideways
you'll land in a room with a push button. (Look around and you see 2
bolders) Push the button and the bolders will go falling down.. The door
next to you will open. Go backwards away from the button to avoid the
bolders. The opend door lead downwards via a Climbing ladder. Push a
second button and a next door will open. Avoid the next boulder that comes
down. Follow the path and pickup the Uzi-ammo 2x.
Golden City.
At the end of the path
you'll be met by two large closed doors with a switch behind it.. Go Left
and kill the goon with Uzi's .. He will give his M16-ammo.
Follow the path into the city. Going down the stairs you'll see a home
with a switch ... Look out... there is a goon with uzi's who wants to stop
you... Reward: M16-Ammo. Pull the switch and the
Large doors will open... A new goon with Uzi's will come to you.. Reward: Small
Medipack. Head back to the opened Large doors and flip the
switch. All of the water that was in the next room (Polar Bear County.)
has coverd the city.. Head back and dive into the water... Look out for
some Yellow fish.. On the bottem you'll find Harpoons 2x,
Small Medipack and the P2 Stone
in the house underwater you'll find some Automaticpistol-Clips
4x and a Large Medikit. Head towards the Large
doors, next to the house with the switch.. Use the P2 Stone
here to open the doors...
The big high hall with Golden Waterfall.
When the doors open you'll
enter a big high hall with a spinning blade in the middle and two spikked
walls on the right en left side... Here's the trick.. First go to the left
side.. head towards the wall.. when it moves make a roll (end key) and
head back to the save zone.. when the wall stops next to you go passed it
and head towards the end.. NOTE. Don't go inside the Caves... you'll
burn... Now do a running jump towards the platform on the left and
grab the Flares and Small Medikit. Do a
running jump back and do the same move over on the right side... but now
head upwards the path.. At the top cross the Golden River
with a running jump ... stop at the edge off the other side.. look over
the edge into the hall .. you'll see a platform down there... Take a step
backwards to this point and slide down.. grab the ledge and let yourself
fall on the platform. Use the Climbing Ladder to go futher downwards...
Here you'll find Secret# 3 The golden Scull. Now go back upwards.
Use the Climbing Ladder. On the
platform go right.. Do a running jump.. turn right and pull yourself up..
slide downward and use the Climbing Ladder to come back up the top.. Walk
towards the edge in the middle and you see a Climbing Ladder going
downward.. Cross the Golden River again and go downward with the Ladder.
Here comes a next tip.. At the end off the ladder let youself fall on the
collapsible tiles.. start running forward go left and make a running jump
to the other side .. rest on
the platform where you can pickup a Large Medipack. Heal
yourself up to 100% and do a running jump forward.. NOTE: don't try to
jump into the hole .. you die very quick.. Let yourself slide
downward and enter a new area... Let yourself fall down into
the pit and the level will end... YOURE A PRISONER......
